We'd Like To Thank You, Herbert Hoover...

... for making it a close race.
But in the end, Dwayne Camacho emerged victorious.

Camacho vs. Hoover
Dwayne E.M.D.H. Camacho      10 (55.6%)
Herbert Hoover     8 (44.4%)

Months ago, this matchup seemed like it would be a foregone conclusion for Camacho. But we've since learned that fictional presidents don't really score a lot of votes, unless they're film/show was insanely popular and netted a ridiculous number of awards.
By "awards," we're referring to Independence Day winning the 1997 MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss
Idiocracy was put on the back burner by Fox, who did next to nothing to promote it. So Camacho is no Bartlet or Whitmore.

Despite Camacho's multiple fighting titles, some still doubted his ability in the ring.
Timbo may have a point. If this guy can supposedly defeat Tyson in just over 2 minutes — though the Official HttCttD Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! Expert has yet to authenticate this claim — then what's stopping Hoover from defeating Camacho?

Another reason why this comment gets points is because it does a nice job of bookending the 1st Round. It feels right to end the 1st Round with a Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! reference, when William H. Taft was compared to the game's King Hippo in our very first post.

Camacho is scheduled to return Dec. 19 for his match against JFK. Next week, we finally get into our 2nd Round as Andrew Jackson meets James Dale from Mars Attacks!
